The Annual Festival opens officially on the 2nd Sunday in August Each Year. This is extremely popular with locals and visitors alike. The 2009 event is already being planned.
The World Rally Championships return to the North West of Ireland in January 2009. Many of the Marshalls and rally followers who enjoyed Ballinamore and Hamills B&B as an ideal base for their visit for the World Rally Championships in 2007 plan to return to stay here again for the WRC in Jan 2009.
The FBD Milk Ras returned to Ballinamore in 2008. The town hosted the finish of stage one on Sunday May 18th and the start of stage two on the following morning.
