McGahern International Summer School

The third International John McGahern Summer School takes place here in Leitrim from July 22nd.  Much of the material which inspired the marvellous work of John McGahern is all around us here in Ballinamore, in Lisacarn, Aughawillan and Fenagh.  These places and the lives of the people who live here appear over and over again in his work, perhaps most notably in Memoir and That They May Face The Rising Sun, the place of his childhood and the place he returned to live in later life.
